I am an artist and art teacher, and I have recently relocated to Montreal with my partner, who studies at McGill. Previously I was living in Brooklyn, where I taught art to pre-school and school-aged children, worked in a progressive elementary school, and was a caregiver to some excellent young souls.
As a childcare provider, my goal is always to establish a genuine emotional connection with kids I take care of, so that they can trust and feel safe around me. I put a premium on patience with and listening to children, and try to practice discipline methods that reinforce good behavior and clear communication. Being an artist, I love to do creative projects with children, be silly and have fun.
