Hello there, taking care of seniors has always been a way of life for me, even when I was young. Now that I am a senior myself, I know exactly what they need. A loving spirit, patience, kindness, thoughtfulness, cheerfulness as well as being detail oriented. Working for 21 yrs in the criminal and family courts with young and older ones, taught me a lot about being patient and kind. I have a written reference for this job. I am positive and do not wish to over look details that a senior appreciates, e.g. a pillow for their back, carrying items for them or simply brushing their hair to make them feel fresh! I have the special ability to diffuse stressful situations into humour. I've always had good and well paying jobs, such as for Bell Canada and working for the Sheriff's Office of Dade County Florida for three years, that was in the 60's. I learned to be punctual, this is important when you arrive at a seniors home a little early. Then you have time to address them properly and create a mutual smile and good feelings. I am a mother of three children with 4 grandchildren. This has given me experience with patience, flexibility, and the ability to create a laugh at the appropriate moment. I am very neat and organized and intend to keep the senior's home the same when working. I like Scrabble, playing cards, reading 17th century novel, singing, and decorating. A creative sort who can make a pleasant situation with nothing, a beautiful day, colours, being able to see etc. I finished High School and was always fortunate enough to have good and well paying jobs. Now I like to paint, encourage others by emails telephone calls and America's Funniest Videos,smile.
