Hello!

My name is Imogen and I am a first-year student at Dalhousie University, looking to major in Sociology. I have had experience with younger children for many years, but I started babysitting seriously at the beginning of High School when one of my teachers recommended me to a family she knew. I have had experience with children in a classroom setting seeing as I've volunteered for half a year in a grade 1 and 2 split class and a summer in a daycare classroom. If your child has homework to be done I would be more than happy to assist. I have also nannied for a family for the past two summers full time so I have experience spending long amounts of time around kids.

I love to go to parks and the library. I love to make pillow forts and have fun times, but I also do lay down the rules and am not afraid to let them know if they are doing something wrong, and talk it out like equals.

Taking care of children is more than a job for me, I love seeing every child I care for every time I come over. I feel proud when they do well, and love helping them succeed if they're having a problem. This job isn't just about showing up, doing your job and leaving, it's about connecting and creating relationships with the children and the parents, and that's what makes it all the more special.

I have experience with children aged 1-7 but am comfortable around children both older and younger than that as well. I have a flexible schedule, and am free most nights and weekends, and some afternoons. I keep a clean house and would be willing do some basic chores if asked.
