Hello, My name is Deann. I am 26 years old and born in the Philippines. My family moved to Canada when I was 10 years old and I can speak English fluently, but still retain my mother tongue (Tagalog). I have many cousins in the Philippines and have been in charge of taking care of the younger ones since I could remember. I have a little brother who I have taken care of since birth and is now 12 years old. I have babysat many times and currently helping take care of my partner's 11 year old boy and a few friends' infants. Growing up in the Philippines, I know the value of family and community.
I have been previously employed in kitchens as a prep cook and know how to follow recipes, as well as cook some delicious Filipino food. Cleanliness is always a priority for me and I have had jobs housekeeping and have dealt with large scale household and storage organization. I am a hard worker, quick learner and have respect for authority. I have a very amicable personality and can get along with anyone but know exactly when to implement rules.
I was an honour student in high school with experience in college/university English and Mathematics, so if your child needs help, I can also be a tutor. I love to read, make art and am overall curious. I am fun-loving and can attune myself to your child's needs.
