Growing up within a working family I am so very appreciative of my childhood nanny and the many fond memories that we had. Our "Dedee" not only looked after my brother and I but, through her actions modeled the kindness, compassion, and responsibility, first introduced to us by our parents, that my brother and I continue to embody today. This coupled with my background in nursing, specifically in pediatrics, underlines my passion working with families to promote the healthy growth and development of their children. As an active and outgoing individual I am highly motivated to draw on my experience in music and theatrical performance, art therapy, as well as recreational and competitive sport to support a safe and fun environment for the children I care for to learn through play.
