Hello Families!
I've had the delight of playing with adorable little kids for over 14 years. I am a mature, experienced child care worker. I've worked as a Nanny with families usually up to 3 kids and twins. The last decade in licensed group care: Childminding 18m-3yr; Preschool 3-5yr, After School/Summer Camps 5-11yrs.
After working with kids in a therapeutic riding school I had the awesome opportunity to be trained as a supported child care worker in one of the first inclusive summer camps with the Boys and Girls Clubs. I am very patient, very gentle, yet know when to guide children being gently-firm.
I love dogs and all animals growing up on a hobby farm with ducks and geese, pigs and goats (that I milked!) I also raised, trained and showed horses. I would love to take care of your "fur-babies" along with your kidlets!
I was a competitive figure skater (as a tween) and an avid downhill skier (in a past life)! After 7 years of 10K training in Vancouver year round, in the rain, sleet and snow! I now I enjoy Vancouver strolling our parks and beaches, that's when you can get me out of the water! I'm a born fish, swimming lessons into my teens and love to swim, splash and play in our ocean and pools (especially our outdoor pools! See you at Kits in May!) I would love to teach your children to swim and will be more than happy to take them swimming year round.
If I'm not in the water, I'm on it, I love paddling our inlets: kayaking or canoeing anyone? Also happy to share and teach my water sport passions!
And of course I come with great references!
