About Me
Hello Parents!! My name is Brittany and I am currently searching for a full-time, long-term (1 year) Nanny position beginning Sept 2018. I’ve worked in childcare for 8+ years and couldn’t imagine a better job for myself! In the future, I plan to be an elementary teacher who specializes in early learning.
Ideally, I would care for 1 family for 35+ hours a week, but I am also open to splitting my work week between families (for full 8+ hour days)
EXPERIENCE: I am totally comfortable and confident with children of all ages. I have worked extensively with ages 4 months all the way up to 12 years. I am lucky to have experienced so many different atmospheres of care including babysitting, nannying, overnight care, tutoring, camp counselling, and teaching in a licensed daycare.
AS A NANNY: I love spending my days adventuring with the little ones, spending our mornings at age appropriate parks, sports, music classes, Science World, lakes, the aquarium, spray parks, you name it! Before I start a job for any family, I begin by researching what I can utilize in the area to enrich levels of development, learning, and fun! I also love to help them to exercise their imagination and creativity; by planning crafts or 'science experiments' for them, inventing, building, pretending, and much more (all age appropriate of course). Most importantly, I listen to the children and read their signals (verbal or not); not every activity suites every child and being flexible to find what is best for each unique child is vital. I also love to cook & prepare meals, so lunchtime or dinner prep is no hassle for me. By the end of the day, I ensure all the day's messes are cleaned, everyone likes coming home to an orderly home!
- Completed Red Cross Childcare course (including basic First Aid)
- Childcare Level 1 (daycare certified)
- Workplace Safety, (food and chemicals)
- Clean Driving Record (with AMA driving course)
- Upgrading my childcare first-aid / CPR to a fresh new course!
- Undergraduate studying lots of developmental & educational psychology topicsThe most important thing to know about me as a caregiver is that, I love this job. I understand it can be a scary thing to trust another person to nurture and care for your child(ren) all day long, and so my main goal is to make sure you know that your little ones are being taken care of by a passionate and deeply loving caregiver. Nannying is so much more to me than just a job, the connections and bonds you make in this line of work are genuine and special!
I have many families who would be more than happy to reference my passion, personality, and work ethic.

Endorsed: friendly, reliable, punctual
Brittany has babysat my boy 3.5 yrs and girl 1yr for the past 5 months. I had interviewed her after reading her FB post on the babysitting page. My kids immediately took to her and she showed no hesitation in caring for children. She plays games, reads stories, makes crafts and genuinely cares about them. She would send updates to let me know how things were going, and there were never any issues. She is truly a natural when it comes to childcare. She is punctual and listens to instruction. She is very responsible and mature. I was truly blessed to have her as our babysitter.
