Hello. My name is Katherine and I am a 21-year old student attending McGill University. I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with a major concentration in psychology and minor concentration in education.
I am from a small seaside town in Maine, US and have lived in Montreal for almost four years now. I love spending time outdoors and try to do so as much as often despite the harsh winters. Swimming, hiking, skiing and running are a few of my favourite outdoor activities. Although it is difficult to make time for hobbies as a student, I enjoy drawing and other arts and crafts. I also love animals, and frequently walk my friend's dog here in Montreal.
During the school year I participate in a program called Homework Zone, which connects McGill students like myself with local elementary schools in the Montreal area to mentor and tutor students. I have been part of this program for two years and find it both rewarding and enjoyable. I also have volunteered at the McGill Daycare centre for a few hours each week in the 4-year old classroom.
These two experiences along with my past babysitting jobs have prepared me to look after a wide age range of children. I am very outgoing and definitely a people person - looking forward to meeting you and your family.
